The fires in Northern California have been described as the largest wildfires in the United States.
The fire that broke out on July 24 has so far spread over an area of more than 3.5 lakh acres.
In Park Fire, the size of the fire has increased more than twice in 24 hours and till now only 10% of the fire spreading to 3.5 lakh acres of land has been controlled.
A 42-year-old man was taken into custody on July 25 after allegedly pushing a burning vehicle into dry bushes and setting it on fire, according to authorities.
After that, the fire continued to spread due to high temperatures, dry bushes and strong winds.
Officials said the Park Fire has destroyed 134 structures, threatened 4,200, and is moving north of Chico.
He said the fire is moving from Butte into Tehama County, and evacuations have been ordered in various parts of Butte County.
He further said that the fire was spreading at a rate of 5,000 acres per hour, but on July 27, it was brought under control after the temperature dropped.
Apart from California, the Durkee fire in Oregon has spread to 288 thousand acres.
A firefighter was also killed in the fire in Oregon.
There are currently 102 forest fire monitoring sites in the US and most of the West Coast states are on fire.
The US President has directed his team to provide all possible support in efforts to control the fire.
There are also forest fires in different parts of Canada, especially in Jasper National Park, the problem has become quite serious, due to which hundreds of buildings have been destroyed in the city of Jasper.
However, conditions are improving there now, with rain and cooler weather bringing the forest fire in Jasper under control.
