Famous Titanic watch sold at auction for £98,000

A postal clerk's pocket watch found 110 years after the sinking of the Titanic has sold for £98,000.

When the Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean on April 14, 1912, this Oscar Scott Woody watch was frozen in the water.

A month after being recovered from the sea, it was returned to his wife Laila.

Equipped with all the modern facilities, the British passenger ship Titanic sank in 1912 after hitting an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean and hundreds of people on board drowned in the icy water. About 700 passengers were rescued.
