The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the Taliban's ban on women's higher education as a disturbing decision and demanded the withdrawal of the decision.
In a statement, the OIC described the decision taken by the Taliban administration as disappointing, saying that the Secretary-General and his Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs had repeatedly warned the Taliban government against such actions.

In a statement issued by the OIC, Secretary General Hussain Ibrahim Taha believes that the issue of obstructing women's access to education in Afghanistan will not stop and will seriously damage the reputation of the Taliban government.
According to the statement, they believe this decision is actually an attempt to prevent Afghan women from accessing their basic rights such as education, employment, and social justice.
The statement said that the OIC stands by its policy of engagement with the Taliban government of Afghanistan but strongly condemns this decision.
The statement said that the OIC calls on the Taliban to immediately withdraw this decision to ban women's education in order to restore confidence in their decisions in view of their commitments.
