Supreme Court of India acquitted all the convicts of Rajiv Gandhi assassination

The Supreme Court of India has ordered the release of all 6 convicts of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's murder.

According to Indian media, the Supreme Court, using its high powers, issued an order to release the criminals arrested in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case after 33 years.

An Indian court had ordered the release of Rajiv Gandhi assassination convict Para Revlan in May, while the Tamil Nadu government had also recommended the release of convicts convicted in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.

Indian media say that Congress has decided to come up with a future plan after consulting its legal team while declaring the Supreme Court's order unacceptable.

It should be noted that former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was killed in 1991 in Tamil Nadu by a Tamil separatist woman in a suicide bombing.
