The joint declaration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit was issued

The joint declaration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit held in the historical city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan was issued.

According to the Declaration, the Paris Environmental Agreement should be implemented with common but differentiated responsibilities.

In the meeting, the member countries approved the roadmap for increasing the share of local currencies in mutual transactions while agreeing to help each other to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

According to the declaration, the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization agreed to improve the infrastructure of the energy sector and called for a transparent global energy monitoring system.

In the declaration, the use of the climate agenda to limit trade and investment was unacceptable and said that coercive measures to reduce harmful gas emissions undermine cooperation, and coercive measures weaken the ability to deal with climate challenges.

According to the declaration, urgent measures are needed for the negative consequences of climate change, Member States advocate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and balanced development, ready to work for the full and effective implementation of the Paris Agreement.
