At least 12 people died after a boat capsized in the English Channel.

According to foreign media, a boat accident occurred in the English Channel in which dozens of people drowned.

Local authorities say a boat carrying many people was trying to cross the English Channel when it overturned.

According to the administration, as soon as the boat capsized, the administration took action and saved around 65 people from drowning, while 12 people lost their lives.

The administration says that among those rescued, 12 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital, out of which the condition of 2 people is considered critical.

The administration termed the accident as the worst incident of this year and said that the accident occurred due to the opening of the lower part of the boat while none of the people in the boat had a life jacket.
